Calaway Park

Or The Cowboy Park as The Bee calls it (??!).
Either way it was a lot of fun. It was our first time at the park, thanks to Auntie ShiShi (and her workplace). Thanks!
We had a blast. Babes was super grumpy but I think she had some fun. It's so annoying when people are always trying to tell her what to do!
The Bee was scared at first but got the hang of things pretty quickly. Then he managed to enjoy himself.
The Bug was quite entertained all around. He liked the exciting rides and spent a lot of time looking at the machines to try to figure out what was making them go.

Our picture from inside the Berry Go Round.
We had a great day! (ok, we were pooped and home by 2, but the kids can't wait to go back)

Super Girl

So what are all the stylish Super Girls wearing these days? While the boys have a ton of hero-wear we had to creative for The Babe. Because it's all about the outfit!

The boys already had capes, but we needed one in pink. And then a crown perhaps? And magic superpower arm bands for all.
I think her superpower is to look super cute in a leotard (or bathing suit) and legwarmers! And eating corn.

Superhero's

Our cool friend R has the best birthday parties every year and this year was Superhero Training Camp. SO. FUN.
Scrumptious food, cake, waterballoons, a bouncy house, and of course a handful of 4 yr old Superhero's. Always fun (with a little trouble thrown in for good measure).
The kids had a great time. Although the Bee was so busy he forgot one important thing.
He was getting ready for bed when he realized 'I DIDN'T EAT ANY CAKE!!!'. Poor boy. It was delicious!
*we're still getting used to the idea that you buy presents for other people and then give them away...and no, none of those toys is yours to keep!!!! It's a tough concept! Although no one left empty-handed or empty-tummied.

Alice and Steve

Since the Lost Boy incident we've been working on 'what's your name?' around here. The boys are pretty good with their first names but still a bit sketchy on the last name.

Bug: my name is Alice
Me: what's your name?
Bug: Alice
Me: oh you mean (insert last name that I won't use here but yes, it sounds a lot like Alice)
Bug: yeah!
Me: yes, that's your last name.

And then we go through the list of everyone in the family...this can include Nana and Papa and any cousins...

Me: what is Bee's last name?
Bug: Smith (let's pretend it's Smith even though it doesn't sounds like Alice one bit)
Me: Babes last name?
Bug: Smith
Me: Mommy's last name?
Bug: Smith
Me: Daddy's last name?
Bug: Steve
