Ok, their very first day was last week. They had one morning with a small group of classmates and today is their first day back and riding the SCHOOL BUS! The Bug was SO EXCITED. He's been waiting for the past week to get to ride that bus. The Bee, on the other hand, was a little scared. Luckily they have each other.
We all waited together (Daddy and The Babe too) outside in the chilly air with the sun shining bright and cheery. There was a little group waiting with us (much more experienced 3rd graders and such, as well as another cutie girl from their class).
As I expected The Bug ran on as soon as the door opened while I helped The Bee on. The bus driver had saved them a seat right up front. Both 5yr old faces looked pretty excited as we all waved goodbye and off they went.
SO. EXCITING. for them and for me. I'm happy for them to meet new friends and learn exciting things and have their own little place in the world. So proud of them!
It feels similar to when they had their first birthday. Like we have accomplished something and onto the next phase of our adventure.
And now 4 days a week for a few hours it's just me and The Babe. And that's awesome too!

If I didn't know that my dad was looking after Brandy I would swear that the "puppy" that the babe was holding was him LOL! P.S. Love the last picture too!

I'm almost teary reading this post. It is a BIG deal. A milestone. One of those big, life changing firsts. Like walking. Like turing one. Like getting their licences. Whoa!
Love that little sissy got in their for the photo too with her stuffy. Sweet...
